2022 Camelback Fellowship Application Lift-Off | Application Window: October 1- 18

Here we go again! The Camelback Fellowship application is open October 1st - October 18th. For the first time ever, we’re hosting multiple application and Fellowship cycles in a year so we can support even more BIPOC entrepreneurs at the time that is right for them. Are you an early-stage entrepreneur of color, women, or non-binary founder in education or technology? We hope you’ll consider if Camelback is a good fit for you.
If you’re a repeat applicant or supporter of Camelback, you’ll know we’re committed to consistently improving the application process to deliberately center equity and relationships. We call this philosophy “Search and Align.” Over the past few months, our team has worked on building empathy and humility with our applicants and fellows by gathering intensive feedback on how our application could be better aligned to these values. These activities uncovered brilliant and, at times, challenging insights on ways we’ve achieved alignment with our applicants and places where we’ve missed the mark.
Here are our biggest learnings that we improved for the 2022 application:
Stop letting tech get in the way: We’ve invested in a robust application portal to improve the submission experience and reduce technical challenges. Check it out here!
Increase transparency & communication: We’re sharing more than ever about our criteria to apply and what we’re looking for in a Fellow so you can be a more empowered applicant.
Decrease time & energy commitment: We’ve continued to condense our application requirements in order to reduce the overall time it takes an applicant to apply.
We believe these updates will amplify our ability to find untapped potential to welcome into the fam.

Before you apply, assess what Camelback can offer your venture to see if we’re a good fit for you by referring to these resources.
While applying, be fearless in sharing your highs and lows to your venture story. We don’t expect anyone to be perfect, so we’d rather you be honest in where you need help.
When you’re ready to hit submit, don’t let anxieties hold you back. Take a deep breath. You got this. But don’t leave it to the last minute - we suggest submitting well before our deadline on 10/18 at 10 PM CST in case you encounter technical challenges.
